Sweet Treat Rentals Rental Terms & Conditions
By booking a rental with Sweet Treat Rentals, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
These apply to all equipment provided, including the soft serve machine, mix buckets, carts, power cords, and any accessories delivered to your event.
1. Equipment Responsibility
You, the renter, assume full responsibility for all rental equipment from the time of delivery or pickup until it is returned or
collected by Sweet Treat Rentals. This includes but is not limited to:
- Soft serve machine
- Mix buckets
- Mobile cart
- Power cords and accessories
Any loss, theft, damage, or misuse of equipment during the rental period is the full responsibility of the renter. You agree
to protect and operate the machine according to the instructions provided.
2. Damage & Replacement Liability
You are financially liable for any damaged, lost, or unreturned equipment. Estimated replacement costs are:
- Soft Serve Machine: $2,200
- Mobile Cart: $250
- Mix Buckets: $25 each
- Power Cord or Plug Damage: $50
- Other Accessories: Actual replacement costDamage due to improper use, including failure to follow instructions or using an incorrect power source, will result in fees and potential full replacement cost. You also agree to bear all maintenance or repair costs resulting from misuse or negligence.
3. Power Requirements
The soft serve machine must be connected to a dedicated 20-amp, 110/115V outlet. Extension cords must be
heavy-duty and approved by Sweet Treat Rentals. Using an improper power source or undervoltage outlet may cause machine failure and make you fully liable for replacement.
4. Cleaning Policy
You are responsible for basic cleaning of the machine during and after use. All equipment must be returned in the same
condition it was delivered.
A $75 cleaning fee may apply if the machine or accessories are returned dirty.
5. Weather & Outdoor Use
All equipment must be protected from rain, wind, direct sun, and extreme heat. The machine must not be operated in
wet or stormy conditions. You are fully responsible for weather-related damage, which is not covered by Sweet Treat Rentals.
6. Indemnification
By booking, you agree to hold Sweet Treat Rentals harmless from any liability, injuries, claims, or damages arising from
the use or misuse of rental equipment at your event.
7. Payment
Full payment is due before delivery. Unpaid or partially paid bookings may be canceled at the companys discretion.
8. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the rental date will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 07 days of the rental date will result in a cancellation fee equal to the full booking amount.
- No-shows or late cancellations are non-refundable.
9. Return of Equipment
The soft serve machine and all rental items must be returned on or before the agreed-upon date and time.
Late returns will incur additional rental fees, and you may be charged for any damage resulting from delayed return.
10. Force Majeure
Sweet Treat Rentals is not responsible for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but
not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, accidents, power outages, or equipment malfunctions.
11. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Alabama. Any disputes will be
handled exclusively in Alabama state courts.
12. Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between you and Sweet Treat Rentals regarding equipment
rental and supersede any prior verbal or written agreements or understandings.
By renting a soft serve machine or any equipment from Sweet Treat Rentals, you acknowledge that you have read,
understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
